Did DH stay in the hospital overnight when you had #2?

| The hospital I delivered at, Anne Arundel, has pretty comfortable couch beds. But I can see if the sleeping options are uncomfortable, that would influence the decision. |

| WIth #1 DH stayed in the hospital the first 2 nights. With #2, unfortunately a c-section, DH stayed until about 11 pm (we had friends give #1 dinner and put him to bed), and then went home to be there for #2, who is just 2 years old. Day 2, DC #1 was sick, so I was alone for most of the day, which was too bad, but there are nurses there to take care of you. I preferred that DH got some sleep and that DC #1 was not too freaked out. But I was really glad to come home! |

My DH plans on staying when we have #2. I will also likely have a c/s and need the help. I know with #1 I had a hard time lifting the baby in and out of the bassinet after my c/s.
My mom will be staying us to watch #1. So he will go home in the morning to see #1, take him to daycare and pick him up from daycare and bring him to visit. If for some reason #1 is having a really hard time with him not around and all the change then he will stay home. We'll see how it goes. |
