Love love "Do they know it's Christmas Time" I'm totally dating myself, but I was in junior high when Band Aid first did this song. Most of the singers were pretty cool. I was totally in love with Bob Geldof and Bono. This song and the video always got me and it still does (as I channel my 9th grade impressionable self).

Hate the Chipmunks song and Feliz Navidad.

Oh, don't make this into something it's not. Frank Loesser was awesome, and he and his wife considered this "their song." No date rape about it. Different time, different standards. It's a wonderful song about two people who want to stay together late into the night, but the social norms of the time won't let them. Like the horror of "Wake up Little Suzy" when they both fell asleep in a movie theater. The horror.

Oh, actually date rape was just okay back then. You are 100% right about different times and different standards. No one acknowledged the occurrence and women were indeed pressured into sex. Don't pretend otherwise.

Least favorite 12 Days of Christmas

Favorite Little Drummer Boy followed by Oh Holy Night (Renee Fleming).
However, when Good King Wenceslas is done well (Sutherland), it is beautiful, but it is very easy to mess up.
