YES! The Aspca maybe? I can't watch that, I quickly switch channels when I hear the strains of Sarah McLachlan. (don't worry, I do regularly donate to animal no-kill foster groups. But I have to blast past that one). |
Yes! Heart wrenching. I have to stop reading this topic now...crying too much. There used to be a commercial...someone was narrating about an old woman that used to walk every day to the fruit stand, until she was diagnosed with cancer and couldn't make the trip. So someone brought her the fruit instead. I'm sure I'm doing a poor job explaining it, but that commercial always made me tear up. |

These two made me tear buckets...

Never seen that before ..w crying my eyes out! Some of the Pedigree shelter dogs commercials make me cry. There is a commerical for GE or something and they have an ultrasound and the song First Time Ever I saw Your Face--I always cry at that. I'm sure there are a ton more, too. I'm pregnant but some of these make me cry not pregnant, too! |
| The one with the little boy pretending to be Darth Vader and his dad comes home and makes the VW lights come on. I teared up when I first saw that commercial. The kid is so much like my little boy. |

Really? I just find that one annoying. |

I'm dating myself but that Bell telephone commercial with the old mom and the son who called "just to say I love you."
And, the Indian (who I have since learned was Italian!) crying at the litter commercial. I remember being about 5 or 6 years old and bawling whenever it came on! |

Only aired once:

I recently watched that on youtube for the first time since I was little. I was bawling, just like I did then. I'm 41 and when I was little lived in an industrial town in Massachusetts. It was filthy. I also vividly remember people throwing trash out of their cars just like in the PSA. I still hate litterbugs. I work in Columbia Heights and sometimes actually pick up trash and put it the garbage can. |
| That one with the Dad telling his litle girl how to drive, be careful, don't text, etc. and she looks about 6--and then he hands her the keys and she is 16-17, but you realize he still sees her as his little sweetie. Kills me! |

You weren't kidding. Oh man. There was a "make your influence positive" Australian PSA a while ago that I also teared up at. But nothing like that one. This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b-2D09o3WI |
| Just saw a WalMart commercial about a mom who was deployed overseas. The older sister was telling the younger one the things mom would do, like "mom says to brush your teeth up and down like this", and things like that. Then she was tucking in the little sister, and the mom surprised them both when she came home dressed in her combat fatigues. I got all weepy. It was a thank you to service personnel from Walmart. |

So many folks have mentioned the commercial with the dad and the little girl. I know it well, but the funny thing is I don't remember the brand it's advertising. I think someone mentioned Subaru or is it Volvo or something else? Anyway, it's a moving ad, but I'm not sure the actual product message made an impression on me.
Now, there is one from Subaru that doesn't make me cry, but it tugs at some emotions--the one with the guy who sees his old flame and remembers all the good times they had in his old/first Subaru. Then he snaps back to the present and current reality with his new lady and new Subaru. |
