You seriously DO NOT want your teens wandering around more than a block from the theatre. It has been a launching point for many crime sprees--better safe than sorry pick them up. Colesville Road East West HWY is a dangerous crossing at night--for anyone on foot.
Stop clucking, Henny Penny. OP, schedule a pick-up with Red Top Cab. The will pick-up in DC if you are going to VA.
Ha ha. Very funny! But you have me all wrong. I'm looking into a car service for ultra-reliability. I saw lots of recs for Red Top (which we've used tons) but I didn't think they'd originate in Maryland.
PP who said "it would be hard to book a car unless you're prepared to miss the end of the concert" I don't know what you mean.
I still can't get figure out what time the concert ends so I'm prepared to pay a waiting fee if we go the car/cab route.
I hadn't thought about a hotel room but I did think about an evening out with the 5 (almost 6) year old, dinner, movie, sleeping bag in the back of the car for him, book for me. It wouldn't win me mother of the year, but it could be doable.
