Then just don't do all that, and go to sleep. |
If only. I'm just a night owl. Won't force myself to go to sleep. Sometimes, I even find myself fighting off sleep to do BS! When all else fails and I can't/refuse to get settled, I masturbate or have sex with hubby to fall asleep. |
On average, I go to sleep at 11:00pm and wake up between 6:30-7:00am. |
I'm in bed at 9:30/10:00 and up at 5:30/6:00. If I stay up until 11:00, I'm cranky and tired the next day. Some nights, I have trouble staying up until my daughter's 9pm bedtime. |

I am in bed at 9:00. Lights out by ten (after reading for a while, or.....). My household is up and at 'em at 5:30 at the latest every day. |
NP here. That's so easy to say. But by the time we get our kids down (around 7:45 all told), do the dinner dishes, throw in a load of laundry, read the mail, get things organized for the next day, and walk the dog, it's close to 10. I know I should go straight to sleep but it's just soooo tempting to take an hour or two to cuddle with DH on the couch and watch TV, or take time for myself to read, surf the web, or catch up on emails with friends. It's my only time to do these things and it's so nice. But of course it makes mornings suck. |
Usually asleep by 9 and up by 5. I find that if I don't go to sleep when the kids do, I lack the discipline to go to sleep before 2am. |
I'm in bed by 9pm (party over here). I get up at 4:30am to go work out on weekday mornings. Then come back and get DD ready for preschool and me ready for work.
On Friday/Saturday nights I might really live it up and stay up til.....11pm. I get up Sundays around 4am to watch all the trashy tv I've missed during the week, you know Real Housewives type stuff. It works for me. |
I usually go to bed at 10:30pm. Sometimes I fall asleep earlier. I'm up by 7/7:30am. I need a lot of sleep to function properly. |
WOHM - I usually get in bed around 10:30 and flip through a magazine for a while - fall asleep around 11 and get up between 6:30-6:45. I try to work out at lunch so I can sleep later in the morning.
7 to 7.5 hours is a good sweet spot for sleep for me. |
