DC is faaaaar to the right of Richmond, VA, one of the crunchiest, hippiest, liberallest places ever, even including the Old Guard, Junior-League, my-great-great-grandaddy-fought-with-Jackson holdouts. You must be hanging out with the DARest of the Richmond DAR. All five of them. |
Most of the Republicans I know live in VA -McLean, Great Falls, Fairfax. Some of them are on the Hill because they're Hill staffers and have stayed there ..but the vast majority of Hill residents are liberal. As is most of DC. |
So true regarding PP's comment about DC'ers being conservative whether D or R! This is a very conservative and traditional city ...but politically left. |
