Something happened during the taping of season 4 and she was too upset to attend. She got into it with Teresa.

Does Teresa not realize that everyone stopped being her friend?

I posted this on another thread but am too lazy to look up the link. The night before they taped the reunion, they were filming for season 4 at the Posche fashion show. Teresa set up Melissa by inviting some guy there who allegedly used to work with her when she worked in a strip club, so that she would be humiliated and "outed" as a former stripper. Melissa's side is that she worked there as a bartender in college and never was naked or anything. Teresa denies that she's the one who invited the guy, but Jacqueline says that Teresa told her forever ago that she was going to do that.

Apparently, Jacqueline has quit the show altogether and will walk off mid-season season 4 like Dina did in season 2.

I'm embarrassed to admit I found this (re: Caroline and Dina):

she seemed like the most "normal" on that show in the beginning. I hope she and Caroline figure out whatever it is.

How is it that Teresa and family still live in fancy home and live well when bankrupt? How does the bankruptcy work then? (I'm not American)

Well, I for one remain dissatisfied. She doesn't say anything really. I guess because she's also under contract to Bravo (right?)

I think Teresa's underlying psychological problem is she is unable to cope with what appears to be criticism, and unable to be wrong. She literally can't truly accept any fault in anything.

I think Melissa is my favorite now. She really seemed genuine, especially when she was talking about her dad.

Caroline, by the way, is annoying. She gets a kick out of being "wise" and she also does very little introspection. You don't see her "growing" a lot or learning a lot.

I think I like Jacqueline because she actually does grow in the show. She has a bunch of faults, a bunch of misconceptions, makes mistakes, misjudges people, and then learns from it. It's a little bit more like real life.

She intimidates people so they shut up. She uses her children and never supervises them -- I thought Bravo went out of their weay this season to prove this point without coming out and saying it. It's pretty obvious Andy thinks she's an idiot -- along with her husband. How these two people have so much completely escapes me. And yes, I know you are going to say they are bankrupt, but they are still living in ginormous house and buying lots of stuff.

I found my impression of Melissa really changed during the reunion shows. I had been pretty iffy on her all season, but she handled herself well and didn't let Teresa drag her down. Personally I think she will leave her husband if her music career takes off. I think she's pretty tired of his family and his constant hardon.

I agree 100% with your first paragraph and I also found Melissa growing on me as the season went on.

I wonder - this is total speculation - if someone called CPS on Teresa near the beginning of the season - maybe after the baptism fight. She kept flying off the handle at the word "unattended" - and I think that word has a very specific meaning when used in the context of a CPS investigation. When she snapped at Kathy (in the DR, I think) "UNATTENDED? Don't go there." to me that was a big... something... red flag, maybe, that she zeroed in on that particular word which is probably used to prove negligence.

Just a speculation.

That's a good point.

I tell you, that one scene where they were photographing her with her kids for the book, I could tell the photographer was so disgusted with her and her parenting.

i think she's on to something here too. she was going totally bananas when kathy said "detached" and turning her words into "unattended".

I'm the speculator. I bet the complaint was dismissed and for valid reasons it never came up on the show. Also, does anyone notice how Teresa freezes her face and mumbles when she's lying? Like when Andy was asking about the bankruptcy fraud and going to prison instead of vehemently denying it she just tightened her lips and said "nuh. nuh." Not even a real No. "Nuh." Every time Andy asked her a question about her financial situation she gave that frozen nuh and it was so obvious she was lying... bad liar. Obvious.

I sometimes feel bad for Teresa and Joe because its obvious that neither of them are very smart or have any business sense at all. It's not surprising they rose fast and fell hard and keep getting into worse and worse messes.

And what happened with their restaurant? I have been watching Beverly Hills so I didn't see those episodes.

Their pizzeria? It seemed (from the show at least) like it was still open and is what Joe was doing to make a living.
