Infertility Support and Discussion
Um, NO DUH. Like you said, this forum is called "trying to conceive," so, yeah, there are women here with conception issues. Good job picking up on that. I don't have the hate-on for the original poster that some of these other posters do. But if you've been around here a lot, and I have been, you start to see a parade of posts like: my boobs are sore, could I be pregnant? I peed on a stick and with a magnifying glass I saw the line, could I be pregnant? I have a craving for pickles, could I be pregnant? My period is a day and a half late, could I be pregnant? There are a lot of posts here like that and they do get a bit tiresome, because I don't know what the posters are really asking for. They could search the thousands of back posts or Google and find an answer, but at the end of the day, none of us can possibly know whether an internet stranger is pregnant or not based on her evaluation of a pregnancy test or the soreness of her breasts. But, because I "get" how exciting this can be, I mostly just ignore these posts. The OP is smart enough to know how to read a pregnancy test or to call for a blood test. I think she just wants us all to be as excited for her as she is for herself, and I do wish her all the best. But sometimes you're going to catch some people on a bad day. |

what a nasty bunch.
if you are sick of such posts and don't know why that the OP is asking, why don't you ignore the post? |
I am guessing OP wrote this. |
|
I doubt it, but she's right. I should have just ignored this thread. I was doing so, till folks started throwing "jerk" around.
Good luck, OP. I sincerely hope you have nothing but good news and smooth sailing from this point forward. |

OP Here - 16:28 I did not write the post you are pointing out (had a bit of a busy weekend, haven't been on since I first posted Friday).
Aunt Flo arrived this morning, so obviously the line was a figment of our imaginations. Getting that close does motive us for the next cycle at least. For those who have been trying a while I feel you, really I do, we're on month 8 of trying ourselves, and my best friend took 5 years to conceive. I'm sorry if my post offended anyone, but if you've ever tried the search feature on this website it's not very good (most posts are from 2007ish). To those who had advice and words of encouragement, thanks, you're a very great part of this website (especially this forum). |
| Geez. I am truly sorry to hear that. Stay motivated! |
| OP here. BFP this morning! Still in shock but incredibly excited. Positive vibes to the rest of the forum! |
CONGRATS! What great news! Hoorah! |
That is sooo awesome! I remembered that feeling of seeing the BFP!! Congratulations! Have fun on the Expectant Mom Forum. |
| YAYAYAYAYAY!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! My heart sank when you said it was a BFN, and so happy for your BFP!! I too have been TTC for roughly the same time frame....you've given me some hope that soon it will be my turn!!! |

OP Here - Our winning combo seemed to involve using Preseed every time, and having sex every other day from the end of my pd to a day after I ovulated.
I'm still a little shocked (yesterday was 5 days before my expected period), I did not expect to see 2 lines (2 thick lines at that). |
| Congrats OP! When I saw this thread reappear I was hoping it was a good update! |
