Infertility Support and Discussion

We've been TTC for about 7 months now, but this past cycle didn't really "try" (we were intimate very earn on this past cycle, right after my pd stopped), but then have been busy, traveling, and unfortunately for us, that was really it this month). Fast forward to this week. Tuesday morning I took my vitamin with a muffin like I always do, but felt a sudden onslaught of nausea (which hasn't happened before, and I am sensitive to vitamin's, but taking them with food is the only way for me to avoid this type of reaction). I dismissed it at the time as being related to the vitamin. Yesterday (Thursday), around the same time (10am), I got another sudden hit of nausea, but this time, no vitamin involved. Both times as soon as I ate something small, it went right away. I'm also at work, and was really into a project I was working on (so not sitting around staring at the clock thinking "this is when I was sick earlier, wonder if I'll get sick again").
So of course I tested this morning, and it looks like the very very faintest of lines (I'm talking so faint DH and I had to pull out an unused test to compare). Planning on testing again tomorrow, but thoughts? I'm just hoping this isn't in my head... |
| OP here - should also add I've been getting more headaches the past week (my last headache was last year at some pt, I just don't get them ever), and a bit of lower back pain (which I was contributing to the gym). |
| I don't think you can count on the symptoms to tell you much this early, but a positive pregnancy test only means one thing (unless you did a trigger, which you didn't)! |
| I wouldn't count chickens until you are sure you have missed your period, then test! |
| What kind of test did you use? Keep us posted! |

OP Here - Early response test.
Believe me, not the first time I've thought I was pregnant, but this is the first time I've had this many symptoms, and a very faint line. I'm doing me best to stay calm (and rational), but according to DH I haven't been very rational this week in general, so not much hope there! No triggers, we haven't advanced to any treatments yet, wanted to give it a little more time since we're still pretty young (both just turned 30, been together 10 years, married for 5). |
| If it was a First Response Early Result, then I would be cautiously excited about the faint line - I've never had a false positive on those. When it's negative, it's white as snow. Best of luck to you! |

A faint line is a line....the test detected some HCG which means you are at the earliest point of pregnancy. You should see the line continue to get darker and once your period is officially late it should be very clear.
I say congrats to you....you aren't out of the woods because it is VERY EARLY but you are probably pregnant. |

OP Here - That's what I was thinking, and why we grabbed the unused to compare. There was absolutely a very very faint line.
Very cautiously optimisted at this point, and unfortunately I don't foresee me being able to get a lot of work done today! |
| I agree with the cautious optimism on the faint line. I was a very faint-liner myself. Turned out positive. |

If there is a line, however fsaint you are pregnant. Congrats, stay off coffee and alcohol and scedule a visit with the doc to check your beta levels!
I have discovered that I am pregnant just 2 days ago. So excited!!! I hope I will not miscarry this time around. Best of luck to both of us, OP! |
| sorry for typos typing on iphone |

OP Here - Not a coffee drinker, nor alcohol really (maybe 4 times a year), and my "general" vitamin is a prenatal (the only one I've found that doesn't cause a "bad" reaction), so I think I'm covered if this is the case.
Hopefully I can schedule a blood test today and stop wondering! |
| Are you exhausted? (That was my first noticable symptom.) Second was my boobs were a little bigger. |
Exhaustion is not a sure pregnancy sign. I am always exhausted 2-3 days before my period starts. |
