What is going on with the sink in the master bath? I've never seen a sink like that and I hope I never will.

ditto to the gold/brass sink and fixtures in another bathroom. ew.

That is the gaudiest house I have ever seen. I wouldn't live there if it were free.

LOL, I completely agree! Foxhall Crescent is the worst. Embarassed for those who live there.

I don't think it's that bad, aside from maybe the gold fixtures. My biggest issue would be how formal and impersonal it feels. I wouldn't want to live in a house that feels like a museum or a hotel lobby, but I'm sure there are probably some who like that aspect. I don't know enough about that area to comment on the reasonableness of the price.

It's like Miami Vice meets Washington Colonial.

I think this house will sell, but probably not to one of us DCUM types!! I can see someone from a foreign embassy liking this house. A lot of people in other countries aspire to homes that feel grand, or are reminiscent of chateaux and the like, and this sort of fits that bill. If I were the agent, I would be seriously trying to market to the international community.

I loved the kitchen though hated that island thing. That would have to be removed and rebuilt. Also, would have to see in person but the kitchen looked kind of small. I'm a kitchen person so if I'm buying a 2 million dollar home the kitchen has to be ridiculous.

Otherwise I didn't think it was that bad. The front is not my taste - looks like it's trying to be a castle or something. Hard to really say since I'm not in the habit at looking at $2 million homes though. I think it does need to be restaged - it is too gaudy - I think if the furniture etc were less ornate it might look more appealing.

THIS. Very few of the DCUM types live on that side of town or engage in that kind of lifestyle. This site is for the crunchy, minivan driving, uber liberal DC mom. None that can be found in Foxhall.

Besides the price the HOA fee is ridiculous. Who wants an HOA in DC?

Yep. They moved up.

The front of the house is a little odd and people in this price range have choices. They expect normal looking sinks and non gold fixtures. The backyeard is nice but no great yard space for a family. Two bedrooms upstairs? Tough if you have more than one kid.

Too many better options. Not a terrible house by any means but not for this price. If it hasn't sold, it's overpriced.
