Infertility Support and Discussion
| Another thing I really liked about SG was that some of the REs have also been through infertility and miscarriages as well. They were often able to share stories and were quite empathetic. |
Wasn't me

i'm the poster that asked about shared risk, and about dr khan and garde...i have one failed cycle with my RE, and i really like him but he wont do a shared risk for me cuz i failed one cycle with him. doesnt give me much confidence then when he wont approve a shared risk for more cycles he will be performing! i have pcos, so hoping shady grove will approve, i'm paying out of pocket so at least i'd like to have the reassurance that i can get my money back if it doesnt work out!
why are u saying u already know cycle 2 wont work?? |
Sorry - original answer here was me. I didn't mean shared risk, I meant multi-cycle discount. I mixed the two up - SORRY! They wouldn't do shared risk with us because of the voluntary sterilization. That was fine though, I didn't want to commit to so many cycles. |

well on the website it says you can drop out of shared risk and get your money back at any time if you havent gotten a baby, so you could drop out after 3 or 4 if you wanted
i wonder how the approval works, guess i'll have to wait till i go in for an appt, was just curious if they'd approve even with failed cycles since my current RE wont, he does multi-cycle discounts as well. thanks for the answer though! |
| I currently see Dr. Khan and love him and my nurse at Leesburg. With Shady Grove you are assigned a nurse coordinator and they are pretty much your lifeline. With my nurse, she emails back by the end of the day and many times if I leave her a voicemail she usually returns calls within an hour as long as she is in the office. This is the only clinic I have been to, but I feel that everyone is so organized and there is a great communication system between all of the different offices. |
