Flame away people:

About 1 glass of wine (4-6 oz) every week or two
Caffeine (diet coke or tea); 1 glass every other day or so
Tuna
Lobster
Mayo
Turkey Deli Meat
Smoked Salmon

That's it. I did this with my son as well and he's perfectly fine!

I'm not sure where some of these "restrictions" are coming from. I've never heard any rules against lobster or mayonnaise.

Lobster and commercial (in a jar) mayo are totally fine.

It's only homemade mayo that's a problem. It's because of the raw eggs.

I am dying for a Potbelly turkey sandwich and I am not even a big turkey fan. I am flying out of BWI next Sat and they have one in the Delta terminal, so I have been looking forward to having it there. I figured it would be somewhat heated and maybe safer? Guess I will be stuck with Wendy's - blech! These restrictions suck!!!!!!!!!!

Get your sandwich heated up and then there's no problem.

I am the PP. They toast the sandwiches in the oven, but I am not sure it's enough heat. Not aware they have a microwave (at least not at that location), hence my concern.

I ate heated potbelly turkey sandwiches 1-2 times a week with my first DC. Not a problem at all and it was my major craving!

If you want to say it is worth the small risk, that is fine, but Potbelly's sandwiches do not get "steaming hot," which is the guidance for deli meat. To say you ate it all the time when you were pregnant and everything was just fine is silly. If you drive around with your kid in no carseat, chances are he'll be just fine because you probably won't get into an accident. If you do get into an accident, it could be very bad. You can eat deli meat every day for 9 months and there is a good chance you won't get listeriosis. But IF you do, the baby will in all likelihood die. Every time, it is a risk, even if a very small risk.

I eat Potbelly's turkey sandwiches, too. I think it's fine.

The OP asked a question and I answered it. I don't really care about your opinion or answer. I did not say go out and eat Potbelly's. I said I ate it. It was not a commercial. Good luck to you
