12:43 here. Well technically you are right - the only other exception is that the baby has to be well enough to withstand the procedure. So if there are health concerns, then yes, it can be postponed. Otherwise, the Jewish law is pretty clear on the fact that it has to be 8th day. Whether or not a mohel is willing to do something different is dependent upon how observant they are. |

Wow? Really? Apparently Ms. Judgemental, I'm the best parent around and I know exactly what's right for every single baby and family found her way onto this thread. Start your own thread if you must, but it's not nice or fair to hijack a thread started by a person who clearly has decided to do what is best for his/her family and try to impose your beliefs on them. That is not an effect way of persuasion and just makes your camp of people look thoughtless, when I'm sure many in the anti-circ camp are not. We all may disagree but trying to make others feel bad about their decisions is improper, as is the judgemental tone of your statement. Keep it to yourself or find a better way to make your argument. |
