Eldercare
LOVE this advice. In general, just take time to take care of yourself so you enjoy your time with your kid more. Whether your thing is yoga, walking, weightlifting - whatever keeps you strong, sane, and healthy, do it. I also like the advice about spending time outside with your kid. My best memories of being a kid - also reflected in pictures - are from times we were out hiking, camping, cycling. Advice I should probably heed on this beautiful day. |
| Give the children time to develop their talents and skills. They may be the slowest swimmer at 8, and the fastest at 14. They never like being pushed. |
| Definitely take time for yourself, if you are able hire a sitter for a couple hours a week one day to give yourself some time alone or to have lunch with a friend. |
