This. (And I'm a woman.) |
| Because they are weak, desperate and insecure, OP. Is it so difficult to figure out? Most of the women in this area are still in high school, looking to find fault or "why don't WEEE have this or that?!?!"; like a spoiled child. Their husbands are not much better. It gets tiresome very quickly. How many posts have you seen about women not being able to find like minded friends? Do they intend to say like minded misery? Because that is how it seems in real life. Such a sad commentary on women in general, especially women who are SUPPOSED to be educated and successful. Yeah, right. |
| I'm a woman and I love my girlfriends. We offer each other unconditional support and I can't imagine my life without them. I'm also very close with my sister. But I prefer to work with men. Women let things fester and often talk behind each others' backs. When I worked with mostly men I could just say, "You're such an asshole today. I really hate you right now." The man in question would usually agree with me and then we would just move on, and he would do better the next day. You can't do that with women. There's a lot of passive aggression going on. |
This. Men are typically more direct and it just makes it easier to get stuff done at work. |

OP, here is the spark to cause the flame:
I see it as more of a problem with white women, a scary bunch at work. |
| OP, if you change that to "some" white women, I'll buy. In my experience, both of the *very* nicest and *very* meanest colleagues I've ever had are Baby Boomer white women. I try to be understanding that they had to break glass ceilings and suffer discrimination, but writing me off as the "boss' girl" just because I was pretty and 26 was the exact same thing - only at the hands of a women who should know better! On the other hand, they aren't all like that and I've got a couple of Boomer mentors now who are just awesome women. |
I don't buy that. I've seen some bitchy women across all stripes. I have worked with some real losers: black, white, Indian, Japanese. |
| I once thought of starting a thread on this topic. Years ago my baby sitter said that white women are extremely manipulative and sneaky. She says that she is afraid when she walks into a work environment with many white women. I would have to agree, there seems to be some kind of cultural aggression that is handled in a less obvious but frustration way, making it hard for anyone to feel comfortable. |
| Make that white women without kids - and I think you have a winner. |
| Have you read some if the insane posts by women on here. That is why! |

Cliques, not clicks
For goodness sake |
| I'm a woman who definitely gets along better with men. Here's why. Women are always evaluating how they compare to other women - better job, thinner, better looking, better husband, etc., etc. With the men, it's all out front. |
| My friend says to always watch out for any woman who compliments your shoes. |
How could OP ever get this wrong?! For shame!!
