SO many idiotic assumptions in this.
- Yes, potentially dad cheated on mom with the now-stepmom. shame on both of them. (this is what my DH's dad did to DH's mom)
- Maybe mom walked out on dad (happened with my friend's parents)
- Maybe dad left mom after learning mom had affair
- Maybe dad and mom divorced years and years before dad and stepmom met (story of me, DH and his ex)

In only one of these scenarios is stepmom the marriage breaker.

We have a similiar problem, with a difference of the little son of
my fiance is already tardy 20 times, with 25 absences in one school year.

The little one was missing school today as well and this upcoming
weekend is my fiance's parenting weekend.
The mother of the child made already plans for the little one knowing
it is the father's parenting weekend.
