Where do the old money families in the DC area live?

Exactly! Just look at any list of "most influential" people in the US. It is always an impressive list: Pres. and Mrs. Obama, Bill Gates, Oprah, Warren Buffett, etc. You know, in other words, "new money!"
Funny, how we never seem to see the random great-great-grandson of a captain of industry (read: old money) on such a list. I guess that's because "old money" is just a bunch of less-interesting people living off the accomplishments of an ancestor who was, yes, "new money" back in the day.
I'll have dinner with new money any day. Old money can stay wherever it is that they live.
