Don't know about handicap access, but it's located in the back of this new condo building right across the street from White Flint Mall called NorthbethesdaMarket. The exact address is 11351 Woodglen Drive, North Bethesda (I'm copying it from the promo brochure they sent us the other day. I guess those fancy condos are still up for sale!)

You can enter via the ground floor - it's all on one floor. it has wide aisles, and if you park in the garage, there is elevator access up to the store. Take a right on Nicholson as you are travelling South on Rockville Pike. Take your first left at the traffic light and it's on your left - big signs - can't miss it.

So every time I go to Whole Foods, I have to park in the garage, ride up the elevator, come down the elevator with my cart, push the cart through a maze with parked cars on one side of me and moving cars inches from me on the other side, open my door halfway to put the bags in because the car parked next to me is so close in those narrow spaces, then go back across the maze to get rid of the empty cart?

I don't think so.

Um - I didn't have any problem parking with a highlander - and you can use an escalator - which also has the escalator for a shopping cart (like Target) - and they have a service where you leave your cart right there at the bottom of the escalator with a WF attendant, and you can drive up and put your groceries in the car, so you don't have to return a cart or anything.

Um.

What a stupid way to start a sentence. No wonder you only drive a highlander.

What? I thought we agreed we were boycotting them after they caved and went with Monsanto.

Thanks. Drove by today. Nightmare traffic. Even without the traffic it just doesn't have the convenience of the old store. No more quick trips to Whole Foods. From now on I'll use them only for things I can't get anywhere else.
Too bad.

It was a madhouse yesterday also. And, such a hassle to park/find your car.

Definitely not as convenient as Congressional Plaza was. I like that it's bigger - CP was tiny, but hate to lose the convenience.

I don't know-I didn't have that much trouble parking as there were tons of people directing traffic (yesterday). It was absolutely zooey but in a fun kind of way. The staff were obviously told to be extra helpful and friendly. The olive oil and vinegar decanting station was very cool, as well the hot and cold bar. The salt bar is cool as well although a little trendy for my taste. That machine that pops those rice thingies that taste like packing peanuts-I give it about three to six months. Yet overall, it was pretty cool from a foodie point of view. I mean, let's face facts. The WF in Congressional wasn't anymore fun to find a parking spot and of course, given the area, you're going to find attitude. Let's see what it's like in six months.
