Gwyneth

Seems like she's trying to get in there on her husband's territory -- singing. G uessing they're divorced in 3 years.

She sang well in "Emma".

Her nose is too big and her hair is stringy. She actually looks best with her hair in a pony tail (which is just wierd, IMO). I think she seems pretty cool but I don't think she is pretty, and certainly far from gorgeous. And, for me its not because she is a skinny blonde, as I usually think skinny blondes are the prettiest chicks out there. I do think she has the cool factor and the chic factor.

Yes, her hair is stringy-- so glad you said that. It may have been chic when she first did it, but that was years ago. Time to update, Gwyneth! And lose the raccoon eyes while you're at it.

Also, she has no figure. Sure, she's really thin, but she has no ass, no breasts, no noticeable waist. She's like a pancake. I don't get the adoration of her figure. She does have really pretty skin, though, and I think she's smarter than the average celeb. She also seems to really enjoy her children in a cool way.

This is so true. I've seen plenty of pictures of her in a bikini (yep, I read US, so what?) and her body is not feminine at all. It's just flat. She doesn't even seem to have great muscle tone.

I think she's relatively pretty, and the few movies I've seen her in, she does come across well onscreen. But I don't think my husband would leave me for her. Kate Winslet maybe.

I have to agree that I also never found GP "gorgeous." In any other life (i.e., non-Hollywood, non-privileged child of Hollywood parents) she would be a plain Jane.

As for her singing, I think it's just this: celebrities think b/c they are good in one genre (acting - arguably in her case, imo) that will transfer to another (writing, singing, etc.) There may be some successes but more often than not it fails, esp in the acting to singing transition. But, they are "artists" with a well known name (and money) and so we are forced to endure their self-indulgent attempts in their new craft. God forbid she just goes and gets a real job or just enjoy her money and fame in a way that we don't have to hear about.

Yeah, probably. But then, she'd never put up with his crap for longer than a NY nanosecond.

I like Gwyneth well enough. She's from my generation. While I don't appreciate her singing and recognize how annoying maybe 80% of her GOOPishness can be, I still have some affection for her from back in the day.

LOL!!!! And ditto. To all of it.

This is a joke, right? You're being sarcastic?

Not all of us have losers for husbands, despite the number of women who post to that effect.

I love her in this role, honestly. But I'm jealous because I want to make out with Mr. Sweater Vest HE looked hot as hell in the Tango sequence.

I've always thought she was too thin, but not in an anorexic way. She just IS a thin woman.

I find some of her parenting and nutrition advice kooky, but so are most things celebs talk about.

My husband would NOT leave me for Gwenyth. She is the OPPOSITE of his type - petite brunettes with a JLo booty. This isn't to say if she threw herself at him, he wouldn't go for it just for the sake of saying he'd slept with a celeb, but really, how likely is THAT to happen? The woman has dated Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck - I HARDLY think my husband has a shot in hell.

I haven't had the impression that men follow that sort of logic.

I wasn't saying men follow this logic. I was trying to make the point that there is such a slim chance that he'd EVER get a shot with her (or any actress for that matter), that I just don't worry about such things.

Just like I would have a hard time saying no to a few of my favorite male celebs (my flavor of the week is the guy who plays the vampire on the new version of Being Human - OMG, I want to lick him!), but what are the chances of that ever happening? The odds are DEFINITELY not in our favor, so why worry about it?

My husband isn't into her - she looks really uptight and like she'd be no fun in bed. Loosen up Gwynnie.

She has a got a very pretty face - but agree her body is just...thin. Not saying her body is bad by any means but in terms of celeb bodies it doesn't stand out for me like Halle Berry's does (that woman is perfect looks wise) or Jen Aniston (love that super toned, healthy look). And yes, her hair needs an update. I'm not into knocking women for their looks so to reiterate - Gwyneth is very attractive!

It's weird to me that she is so out there now, like on Glee, GOOP, etc. At one point it seemed like she was one of those celebs who was only going to make "important" films and then earn real money by doing a rom com every three years, and maybe a make up endorsement. I'm surprised she is doing all this. She seems to be everywhere now.

haha - so you've talked about it, huh?

I am constantly asking my husband what actresses he thinks are hot. He always thinks it is a trick question. He always gravitates towards perky little brunettes, which is good since that is what I look like. His currrent TV girlfriends are the actress who plays Annie on Community and the one who plays Jill on Royal Pains. And of COURSE Sofia Vergara - hell, I have no leanings in that direction and I'M hot for that woman!

I've always liked her, and think she's great in the right role (and usually in ensemble pieces).

Also, I bet she's smokin in bed, based on Shakespeare in Love.

she looks so old and wrinkly.
