That's very possible, PP. I speak from experience, that when I had anorexia for some time in my late teens, my period stopped for about 3 months.

I think their arms aren't bony is because they are still young. If she was in her mid to - late 30's, it would be a different story. Think of Madonna's ropey hands and arms. Yuck!
