If you got a free ride. Or go to the law school. Actually, nix the law school-the industry has changed drastically and a JD from there won't help much.

I did my undergrad at GW in the 90's. Like about 10% of my class, I had a full tuition scholarship. That 10% was pretty sharp (120 National Merit Scholars in a class of 1200). So my Honors College classes (including macro econ from Tony Yezer) were great and my regular classes were cake. Lots of good profs, though, and great DC opportunities. I wouldn't pay full freight to send my kids there, but if they got rides and wanted to go, I'd be fine letting them.

So nice when a child can "select" where their parents will spend 200k on them and its not even ivy league. It's kind of gross.

If my children choose schools whose value I can't appreciate, I'll pay what I'd have paid for them to go to a 'reasonable' school...They'll have to take loans for the rest...
