| Attendance way down at MS |
| my rising senior did not go. |
+1 this sounds made up. |
It was a 2 hour early release? So 5 hours. |
| 6th grade teacher. My whole class was in attendance today. |
I don’t understand this. My kid’s high school requires either a final or graded assignment during the final time. |
| My sophomore went and was excited to get breakfast afterwards with friends. |
| Wouldn't have even crossed my mind to not send my 6th grader to school today. |
No, HS is a two-hour day, not a two-hour early release. |
| so 6th graders are no longer doing the send off on the last day? One thing my daughter miss out in 2020 was that. |
|
I teach 6th and all of the students in both of my classes (I partner with another teacher) were there.
We had our promotion ceremony on Monday night (only day we could get the high school auditorium.) Today was our clap out/ final send off. |
| DC did not go - they just stuff the kids in the gym for 2 hours...what's the point? |
| Sophomore DD went after school let out because she had forgotten to return her laptop. There were a few other kids walking into the building with theirs so she wasn’t alone. |
Pretty ridiculous. 10-15 minutes per class. I guess it was enough time to say goodbye to their teachers. |
NP and they walk or they walk to restaurants and stores near the school. My freshman and friends have been doing it all week if they class wasn’t doing anything and I would get a text that the “teacher didn’t care.” It was crazy to me but then at pick up, I’d see the town filled with HS kids. It’s Madison, before you ask. She went yesterday and quickly left again when she realized attendance marked everyone for every class excused for “student activity.” |
