what should I get rid of?

So maybe they aren't as dated as you think for 50-something year olds from wealthy areas?

Specifically which part and where? I haven’t seen them and now I must know where to find in the wild

1. Get rid of anything you feel too old for. Do you still wear the highest heels in your closet?
2. Things in bad condition can go.
3. Cheap fast fashion that doesn't wash well can just be thrown away.

This is a good start!
Really anything you put on and don’t feel good in. If you feel good in it but it seems dated just put it into a
Bin for the attic to pull out next season indefinitely. Just because it doesn’t work for now doesn’t mean by month 202# its not going to

Thanks for all the advice! I am really clear that criteria like "what sparks joy," or what I haven't worn in a while, etc., matter. But what I am really seeking is a list of what is definitively dated to add to my list of criteria.

I say donate everything you have. Get your colours done, hire a personal stylist and start over. You can start with a capsule wardrobe and go from there.
