What happens when a bunch of committed players have a “very poor showing,” according to some loser on DCUM? Do they have to rescind their awesome commitments now?

Maybe they should. Might be best for the player too, some of those girls got great commitments to amazing schools, but they won’t play at all.

Capital 27 Blue was never very good. Ask the parents.

One bad tourney doesn't define a players future! Just STOP!

Those BLC players are likely playing for Baltimore clubs. Unlikely GC will have Capital players.

DCE on the boys side started dying because kids were not leaving Next Level to join in high school. BLC was getting their players poached because kids were not expected to stay through high school. Eventually Capital will cease to exist and it will just be BLC similar to DCE.

Not happening this year. Turns out a good number of BLC girls are going to Baltimore clubs this year instead of Capital. The BLC pipeline to capital doesn’t exist.

Yeah, we’ll see about that. The politics of the Baltimore teams are not compatible with “ a good number” of DC girls waltzing in freshman year. The time to make that move was two summers ago.

People making overarching comments that are supposed to apply to everybody run rampant on these boards.
If any team can improve their lot with players, they will. Those teams will be shuffled not just this year, but next also. And not just from a half dozen yo a dozen DC area players, but between each other. No top club is locking in their HS team with 7th grade tryouts.

Accurate assessment. No club is locking in their 9th grade team either. From a profit incentive perspective, they need their teams to be the best they can be throughout all years so players continue to sign up in 1st grade.
