How long does it take you to get through the pick up line?

Anonymous
We are the “walk zone” and our route is just over a mile and requires crossing the main road in/out of the subdivision which although it was a 35 mph speed limit (and 25 during arrival and dismissal) people fly on that road. There is no crossing guard because there is a dilapidated old tunnel on the opposite site of the school entrance from us that kids could use instead.

That being said, I sign my kids up as “walkers” and park nearby to avoid the ridiculous carline.

A. Insecurities?
B. Lack of trust in the bus drivers?
C. Fear someone will tease your kiddo?
D. Nothing better to do?
E. Show off your shiny, ginormous luxury SUV?
F. Desire to pollute the air and add to street traffic?
G. All of the above

Kids are terrible on the bus. No thanks.

It's not like your kids aren't seeing the same behaviors AT school, silly.
