Do your kids brush their teeth on the weekends?

Though when we have lazy mornings sometimes we get to lunchtime and I'm like "wait, did you brush your teeth this morning?" and if the answer is no then they have to brush after lunch. It's gross to me that they don't notice that they forgot to do it when they got up, but I think if kids have good oral hygiene generally, they are much less prone to bad, stale morning bread the way adults are. So if we're not getting out of the house in the morning they are prone to forget to brush after breakfast.

Maybe that's what the kids are talking about? Missing morning brushing due to lack of routine?

This. We don't have a ton of lazy mornings these days on the weekends but "morning brushing" probably doesn't happen until they get dressed and ready for the day. Brushing before bed would never be missed for anything.

um, yes, why would you not build plaque on a weekend? do they fast completely all weekend long? sounds like your kid is trying to pull a fast one on you.

Do you make kids brushing teeth at tent camping? Does it matter if there is a public bathroom or zero bathroom at camping?

+1 what kids tell other kids isn’t always reliable.

Yes.

Yes, because I make sure they bruch their teeth on weekends.

Honestly, DS only brushes his teeth at night on Saturdays and Sundays. It's part of our morning routine before school, so it's easy, but Sat/Sun it just doesn't happen.

I’m lucky if they do it during the week.

Yes, at least twice a day. If at home - they brush after each meal.

Not Korean BTW.

They also do salt and baking soda mouth rinse at home.

What do you mean not Korean. Do Koreans brush their teeth more often than we do?

Mom of 4 here. Yes, my kids brush twice a day, every day. On weekends, they typically need reminders, and we are more relaxed about doing it right away. But we always brush before leaving the house.

WUT?

These are people who likely will become obsessed with tooth whiteness and use strips in their terns.

Point that out and tell them to brush.

If the other kids didn't wipe their butts on weekends would they do that too? Want a sleepover pool party with those kids?

I went tent camping, primitive camping as a girl scout. I do not know of any of us eho did not brush teeth. There were even logo portable toothbrushes. You do it using your mess kit cup with water.

you make your kids brush teeth every morning and night, this becomes routine and they don't even think about skipping it... like, who considers being lazy and not wiping their bum every once in a while - no one. Same thing with all hygiene, brushing teeth, washing yourself, etc
