Ehhhh
It depends.
Im a WOC and while thin-ness helps
There are other factors

Like what?

Education
Salary
FICO/Credit score
Career
Zero baggage - no kids/baby mommy/daddy
An azz thats not flat

I could go on and on

Sigh. I’ve got all of the above and I’m thin/fit while also a good cook and a kind person with hobbies and interests. But I’m annoying and I talk too much and I’m probably on the spectrum somewhere. It took me 36 years to find a partner as weird and annoying as I am/doesn’t mind how weird and annoying I am. This is the first relationship I’ve ever had make the two-year mark and so far so good.

Men like women who are soft and feminine and agreeable, and preferably quiet. I am not.

I love this for you

Thin is important and then invest in procedures to fix things like big nose, etc

Here is a basic run down how this person who is not that attractive but thin looks good

All you have to do is get a foot in the door, because being extremely sexual will trump attractiveness any day of the week.

I work in a rehab with a lot of heroin and meth addicts who work as prostitutes. I will tell you that being thin and willing to have sex is not enough for most men.

But they made a career out of it

If you’re fat I’m not interested. I don’t care how great your personality is. If I’m not physically attracted to you it’s DoA.

Anonymous wrote:Yeah, PP is right. Thin and unattractive works if you dress well. French women for example are very good at this.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, etc. are also good examples of this.

But if those are your examples, then your definition of "unattractive" is really expansive. SJP and CBK are/were unusual looking, so not beautiful, but also have/had certain qualities that make it much easier to make the look very attractive with good styling -- symmetrical faces, nice eyes, good natural teeth (or good orthodontia -- the point is they had nice teeth without veneers), strong cheekbones, and good jaw lines. Also truly fantastic hair for both of them -- thick and healthy even at longer lengths.

They both had long faces and prominent noses, and that's what kept them from being truly beautiful. But they were not "unattractive." They had a lot to work with and both did a good job of maximizing their looks, including by staying very thin.

They were not just thin, but fit: “hard bodies.”

I don’t like attention from men which I will get a lot of if I am thinner. I keep myself a little chunky because it keeps the unwanted attractions away and my husband doesn’t seem to mind.

Wait until age 50 and up. Very bad things begin to happen to thin women’s faces, necks, and behinds.

This is aging. We will be lucky to be and look old. I've seen younger women (late 20's, early 30's) who look terrible from sun damage, alcohol use and poor choices. As for thin women getting older and looking "bad", that really depends on lifestyle and genetics. Facial skin laxity and loose neck skin are the reality of natural aging for most people who eschew plastic surgery, etc. Looking ones age is not a character flaw. To answer op, happy people who make others feel good about themselves are the most attractive people, regardless of age or size.

Yes, all true. Just reporting from my own experience that my neck cords and cheekbones stick out in an alarming way when I’m 10 or 15 pounds down, but smooth out nicely when I’m back up. Thin-as-beautiful stops working in middle age.

First off, clearly there is a limit on some thin (read: drug addict prostitutes) is too thin.

Second, I find as my weight fluctuates - different groups of men tend to find me more attractive. When I am sub-125 pounds, WASPy guys are much more interested.

When we were in our twenties, a girlfriend and I would joke it was time to go on a diet if mostly black guys were hitting on us.
