Why is the Department of War so bad at propaganda?

Anyone who thinks the US should be engaging in tacky, smarmy propaganda à la Iran has a screw loose.

I will say one thing…..
The US is good at propaganda that matters. Or call it a deception campaign.

What the CIA pulled off helped our troops rescue our airman.

LOL. This is just pure propaganda. Strait from the Jerusalem Post (I checked). If you'd watched the Iranian Lego videos you would know that they don't believe a word Trump or Hegseth says, so they're not going to "fall for it." They have a baby video about TACO Trump who won't blow up Kharg Island and then negotiates with Iran at an empty table.

I love the complaints about Iranian "propaganda" (point to what's not true about Hegseth and why would you even defend that alcoholic rapist) are the same boomers who were perfectly fine w/ the endless propaganda by Neocons (and Israel as usual) about WMDs which lead to the deaths of a 1M civilians and 4400 soldiers. Meanwhile Bush was laughing it up w/ the "journalists" who spread the propaganda and pretending the WMDs were under his desk.

Some of you are so out-of-touch and low IQ in how you view the world. Being older, is no excuse for still thinking its those others who do propaganda when Americans are the most propagandized on earth.

Iran knows more about Hegseth than the avg American.

No smart GenZ-er would want to be caught dead working for those people right now. They are very well informed and do not think highly of our government.

Stupendously wrong. The US is getting absolutely steamrolled by China, Iran, and Russia in the virtual propaganda war space. It is as if the US isn't even trying.

Iran constantly sends out zingers like this that get millions views:

All the social media Americans use has been flooded with foreign propaganda, especially since the war started. It is highly noticeable.

Can you really call it propaganda when almost all of the entire world is already in the same side, including most of America?

Any reality that the MAGAs refuse to accept is propaganda to them. See also, vaccines, science, economics.

Well, if social media engagement is the metric that matters, I’m pretty sure Trump’s Truth Social posts get more views than whatever the Iranian government is posting. And that’s called winning. No one in the world generates more views than Trump.

Objectively, the Lego videos are excellent.

That's just the truth of the matter. It behooves a supposedly democratic wealthy nation to not stoop to such brash communications. Sadly, Trump and Hegseth have been rude and nasty, but without the fun Lego videos.
