Best LACs for normal, "cool" seniors

OP what you are describing are SLACs. Undergrad enrollments below 3,000 (vast majority)
Sounds like a Haverford person to me

The only Northeast LAC that comes to mind is Colgate. This kid screams South. He would probably fit in great at W&L, Richmond, Furman, Davidson. Elon is not an LAC but could fit well too.

We didn't look further south but also College of Charleston, Sewanee, I'm sure there are more.

Really? I thought Haverford was more intellectual than "cool"? Is your son bro-y, OP? Haverford is not bro-y.

Given his interest in outdoor sports, he might want to look at Colorado College. Due to its location there’s a strong outdoor culture. The schedule has a unique block system with large breaks that make outdoor time easy to schedule.

Yeah, I didn’t get Haverford vibes from OP.

I don’t think any of these would be very interesting to a biracial, liberal (she said it twice) urban sophisticate who likes to snowboard and rock climb. Not one.

What's up with mentioning his sexual preference?

This Colgate alum says … Colgate. Also Bucknell, Lafayette, and Trinity. Not Vassar.

I wish we could all somehow share the mental picture we each have of this kid.

Or that he’s “well-traveled”?
