Are you saying years of official data should be trust more than my browsing instagram ? Seriously, though, I worry for people when I read this board. |
| I am kind of tired of people whining about how it's easier for boys to get admitted to colleges in general, or about how it's easier for girls to get admitted to engineering schools. Teach your children to work hard and excel instead of always looking around for every headwind and making excuses. |
I don't see whining here. |
| UVA uses the same admissions criteria. |
Wow, I thought you were exaggerating about them looking the same but I just saw the page. Quite unsettling. |
And they all seem to be pre-med or pre-law. |
They're all really cute. So what's the problem? |
Boys don’t post on these pages. |
And so many say "I am 100% committed to UVA". Not sure what is real or not these days. |
Seperate by OOS now. |
I'll tell you what -- learn to spell "separate" and I will. |
Girls generally have an easier time getting in to Engineering. However, lately a lot more girls are going into the engineering school for the BS Computer Science degree. If my DD were applying and she did not want CS, then I would try to have ECs and recommendation letters talk about her interest in whichever other (non CS) degree she's interested in. |
Exactly. I have two sons (class of ‘23 and current senior) and neither has posted to one of those pages. |
Well, UVA didn't accept women until 1970 and W&M until 1918, but I think I know what you mean. |
| Does UVA provide GPA and SAT by gender? |
