Perhaps you should stop being a crappy employer and pay your workers more.

Perhaps you should have earned a stronger degree so you could have attained a better socioeconomic status.

A stronger degree than a Masters in STEM. Got it.
You are so, so clueless about the job market.

I was thinking the same OP.
What an easy win for Trump- offering WFH week by week for Feds, allowing those who must commute less gas coasts die to less traffic. The rest of the corporate world could follow.

The Republicans should allow cheaper EVs like China has. US is way behind because the rich MAGA want us dependent on oil.

Didn’t Barron just make a ton of money on oil??

Hi- Where do you think most electricity comes from? Natural gas. Maybe coal. Is either better than gasoline?

I used to move Thermosat in winter to 50 degrees at 730 am and leave it there till 7pm when got home. I summmer I move AC to 80 degrees at 730 am to 7pm.

I also had two zone heating so once in bed I only had heat or AC on in top level.

working from home would cost me a fortune. My heating bill and AC bill was extremely little when in the office. During COVID it went sky high.

For example my last job was nearly all young single people. In the heat wave last year we were running in my dept only 100 air conditioners while we were remote. If we were in office they all could have turned off their AC.

Why do you need a 6000 square foot house for one person.

My spouse commuted 60-90 minutes each way and with traffic and tolls it cost us about $20 or more a day. Found another job. Rto was to get people to quit and depending on the area for local businesses as the companies got tax breaks to lease those buildings to bring in business.

Why should employers do anything? This is what voters wanted.

China has installed an absolutely insane amount of solar. Look it up.

If you have a Masters in STEM and are unable to afford gas prices you’ve failed.

Rising gas prices in so far as they actually reduce VMT will reduce emissions.

Spouse in stem, it was over $20 with gas and commute, plus 2-3 hours a day. Changed to a much closer job, no tolls, no eveing weekend hours same money. Change jobs.

Yup, but they like the hysteria now...

Bring back the victory gardens. Food rationing will start in 2027.

Yay! I’m an RN who has no choice but to commute to in person work at my hospital — and if we’re Doing Pandemic Things again, then I want to make triple my salary temporarily!

Excellent idea, OP. WFH was always a great idea anyway.
