You have no idea so don't harangue people like you do. Everyone (including scientiests) is learning as they go on this. Have folks seen the recent studies showing microdosing indeed works to keep the weight off (there was an article in the NYT last week)? I imagine taking the pill just on the weekends works just like microdosing the shots. Can't wait to try it once I run out of my zep (currently microdosing - stretching out one lowest does vial to last 4 months; have been doing this for 8 months and maintaining at 120 - down from 135-140). OP - on my microdose I aim for about 1500 calories a day (weekends usually end up being 2000). I walk 5 miles a day and that is it. What a marvel! |
| You can’t handle carbs. |
Sweetie, the pills are a different beast than the vials. You are NOT supposed to skip days of the Wegovy pills/Rybelsus. It can reduce the overall effectiveness of the medicine. But PP should be talking to her doctor about this, not someone who double/quadruple dips a container that has no preservatives in it and is risking serious bacterial contamination. You do you, girl. |
ALSO, the Wegovy pill has been around in the form of Rybelsus since 2019, it's not new, it's well studied. |
Disagree. I'm 5'4" 140lbs and it's not fine when you carry the weight in your face, stomach and thighs. 10lbs it's a lot on a small body frame. I feel 128-130 is better for the height. If the extra weight was on my a$$ and my boobs then it would be fine I guess. LOL. |
I’m the pp that’s only taking the lowest dose pill only on weekends. It’s working fine for me to avoid bingeing on weekends |
| It’s the Lexapro. I gained 30 pounds in one year without changing a single thing except beginning Lexapro. I’m off it now and working hard to lose weight the old fashioned way. Down 10 pounds in the four months since I stopped taking Lexapro but it’s been a slog. |
I am on my goal weight now and I know I don’t want to lose more but I love not thinking about food or hunger. It’s just been so freeing! I truly hate eating and cooking. |
Was this on your doctor's recommendation? I'm curious about what medical professionals have said about if this has been studied and if it has any impact on your hormones or insulin resistance if the amount of the medication in your body is fluctuating like this? I am glad this is working for you, but I also would consider looking into this if I were you. |
| During glp use your stomach shrinks so shopping is easy if you don't consistently over eat. |
| The only way this works long term if you want to go off is to completely change your lifestyle. Food, exercise. No drinking. If you do this you are fine. If you are crazy hungry which I was you eat more of what works for you — chicken breast, veggies, nuts. You cant do otherwise except every once in a while. The weight will not come back. |
| Yoga is not a work out, sorry. AIM for intense weight training 4 times a week, and keep the 10k steps per day, on weekends take a few longer hikes. |
Depends, are you ex hunter gatherer with a lot of muscle? Or come with smaller bones and less muscle and fat goes to midsection projecting LDL to 300… |
This. Took it years ago and a gained 10-15 lbs in a couple months. |
| Metformin. Helps with insulin resistance and can jump start mounjaro. |
