Naw, was just curious about how their game went and watched the Veo. If you look at their league stats it's pretty evident they struggle to score but don't get scored on much.
because of keeper. By far best keeper i have seen at U13 level. Once they leave for ECNL that age group is done.

Stop talking about your kid, nerd.

Even if it is the parent is wouldn't fault them, facts are facts lol

anyone who's seen that keeper play know its the only reason that club hasn't been completely smashed. The whole game is keeper making saves and kicking the ball 3 quarters of the field.

It's generally considered good form here not to single out individual kids. You/he has opened the door to discuss the kids on this team, good or bad. Don't be surprised if someone walks through that open door.

While I get your point it's not the talent level of the team that's the issue. It's the fact they haven't been taught to use and trust each other through working the ball around versus just thumping it up the field for 1-2 players to chase.

its most definitely a talent issue. Hence why they boot it. Without keeper they would get blown out.

So let’s just be clear about some things…

VRSC got into Champions Cup because they finished higher than any other existing GA Clubs in the new Mid-Atlantic South division. New GA Clubs do not qualify. So, no loopholes and nothing VRSC did shady to get the qualification.

Second, only one team made the top bracket, which was automatic, the U13 VRSC team.

Third, every other GA team from our area is in the Consolation Bracket for every other age group. The consolation bracket are the bottom 4 teams from the Winter Champions Cup event and 4 teams that are at the top of standings currently from this season or last that are not already in Champions Cup. In other words, even the consolation brackets can have very good teams but you can also end up with some pretty bad teams left over…like the VRSC teams. The 08s for example lost all three games by a good margin.

Hope this clears things up.

lets be clear they backed into it because of how mid Atlantic broke out. They didn’t deserve it they got it by default. And its a terrible look.

twitter/x is saying the opposite while screaming for consolidation of leagues. Sounds like the list was watered down due to conflicts this year

um yea they did. just like them bragging about boys side being ranked when they aren't. This was a poor attempt to get social clout. Instead it just embarrassing. It hurts them because parents now see what happens at national level. Kick ball generally doesn't beat top 100 teams.

On Twitter @imyouthsoccer is saying there are 419 D1 2026 commits playing at GA clubs. 419 is much more than I expected. And it doesn’t account for clubs that switched from ECNL to GA last year so 2027’s from GA will be even higher. Yes, I know ECNL is better and has a lot more especially power 4. But GA is still a legit path to D1.
