Why is there so much focus on VRSC in Champions cup? Based on what I've read about soccer development in this area, any team from the area that goes to Champions cup will get beat.

well 2013 played real teams and lost. The rest were meh show case teams. So would expect more wins.

Showcase teams are always first or second in division plus the teams that did not make it out of Winter Champions Cup Group play.

Some of the “Showcase” teams are actually better than the ones that are playing in Champions Cup round, their Club just didn’t qualify as a whole. Like McLean 10s who are first in Division.
