| I was this girl. Get her a jewel toned button down (girls’ cut) and black girls’ dress slacks that are a little flowier, not just straight up and down like khaki style pants. For me, shoes were often the hardest part. Maybe a pair of simple black ballet flats? |
Is your name Jeff? No? Then zip it. 🙄 |

I'm an adult with sensory issues who still occasionally needs to look decent for fancy occasions. I am a huge fan of the sweater dress with tights in the winter months. If done correctly it can feel comfy and cozy and okay.
In the summer months, perhaps you could find her something like a t-shirt dress? If it's the binding, pinching, itchy, scratchy fabrics that she is objecting to, those are my suggestions. |
That looks like pajamas |
| My daughter would do jumpsuits for dressy occasions. |
Ugh no! It looks like an awful pair of pajamas! |

what about:
1. Suit vibes, but cute and the crystal-looking buttons and color make it not 100% boyish. https://www.zara.com/us/en/jewel-button-top-p01190492.html?v1=526834525&v2=2637283 https://www.zara.com/us/en/jewel-button-tailored-pants-p01237492.html?v1=526834496&v2=2637283 https://www.zara.com/us/en/schiffly-cropped-shirt-p04786600.html?v1=501597457&v2=2426136 https://www.zara.com/us/en/crossbody-bag-with-floral-detail-p11104730.html?v1=527031997&v2=2637283 |
Sounds cute! Following this thread bc my 5 year old doesnt likes dresses and wants a "suit" for dressy occasions. She sees me wear a suit to work so she views it as acceptable women's formal attire. |
| Jumpsuit. Minnie also like to wear velvet or velour pants with a top or sweater. |
| My 7yo dress hating daughter has surprised me recently with her willingness to wear dresses on special occasions as long as she was part of choosing them. I picked several options I thought would be comfy and then she chose the ones to order (and we returned the rejects). I’ve been floored with how successful it was. |
I was thinking this, too. Solid color jumpsuit with flat sandals. |
