'Saving for Retirement Will be Irrelevant’: Elon Musk Says

Name one thing he’s gotten right.

He blows up rockets.
He thinks he’s going to mars but has never made it to outer space.
DOGE was a disaster
He has to pay women to have his kids.
He didn’t invent Tesla he bought it and then ran it into the ground.
He bought X and ran than into the ground.

What exactly has he gotten right?e]

He got right that electric vehicles were the place to put $$. He got right that superchargers should be put all over the US. He got right that landing booster rockets so that they can be reused would make his company VERY profitable. He got right that self driving would be an important new technology. He got right that a system of satellites would provide communication anywhere in the world.

So his personal life is a shambles, but that doesn't really affect me. He has definitely made mistakes, yes. He's not a god. Anybody in his position is going to be criticized for good and bad all the time.

But I think we all know that the world is changing rapidly and many of us never would have guessed that we would have the computer capability that we have now. So who knows. He's allowed to dream and he dreams big. It's who he is.
Satellites were already providing communication to the world for decades before SpaceX.

Musk will still be extremely wealthy in 4-7 years and most likely also irrelevant.

I’m always sickened by how rich people can say or predict anything, and be wrong, and suffer zero consequences.

You are that boys and girls lol. So stop asking whether you have enough saved for retirement. You don't have to worry about it. Now go ahead and book that $20k trip to the Maldives.

Says the drug addict her fought so hard to get a trillion-dollar golden parachute to remain at Tesla.

Well Musk is nuts. Thiel and the other guys too.

Im not sure but his plan is to grind up old people and make them food for younger "workers."

Soylent Green, anyone?

This guy belongs in jail for what he did. How many thousands of kids died of disease and starvation because of what he did to USAID? How many people had their constitutional rights violated by what Doge did with their records?

DP. Wow. You have a very superficial understanding of technology

Nope. He wasn’t even the first to come up with LEOs.

I'm assuming that he thinks saving for retirement will be "irrelevant" because:

- none of us mere mortals will be able to save enough to actually retire unless we are billionaires AND / OR
- the climate will change so much that mostly only billionaires will be able to afford to survive long enough to retire

Guysguysguys.

He means "Saving for Retirement Will be Irrelevant for me".

Haha, not you, poor person. Him.

We'll be able to walk to the Maldives BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO WATER.

I'm exaggerating to make a point.

Lol. It's an exaggeration, sure, but it makes a fine point.

Billionaires are not your friends. No matter how much you help get with their products they think you are always overpaid. If they could force you to work for free they would have done it.

The US is really good at identifying Oligarchs everywhere but here. The truth is the US has the most powerful oligarchs.

Elon is telling you what his billionaire friends have in mind. They want you to be FOREVER beneath them and neither you nor your lineage 1000 years down the line will ever catch up to them.

I really hope it is.

But I am not convinced that anything short of pitchforks is going to fix this. And I can't see us ever being organized or even motivated enough to use the pitchforks, let alone figure out and implement a less violent (and potentially more effective plan). And as far as those pitchforks go ... risky. Sure there's France ... but also ... see Stalin.
