"Do you have a buyers agent call one to show it to you, are you pre-approved? All cash, usually a buyers agent will show you this." They literally won't show it to you unless you pull teeth.

Even a buyers agent usually won’t work with you unless you’re pre approved for a mortgage. Just get pre approval so you can make appointments to look. You don’t have to make an offer.

They'll work with you. They'll just send you to their lender for pre-approval.

House is already pending.

Wow. That went fast. When does the amount it sold for become public? How does that work?

The final sales price shows up on Redfin when the listing goes from "pending" to "sold." Which is usually a few days after the sale closes. So you will be able to see what this (and most any) property actually sold for then. My guess? Above list.

I'm no expert at searching on Redfin, so I don't know if you can search it by school? So what I did was searched by "Mclean" which should catch everything in that school pyramid, at least assuming the listing mentions it -- which it definitely would. Because it doesn't just give you search results in actual McLean, it gives any search result that uses that term. At least I think it do. So ... with a price of 1.5M and under for sfh I'm seeing only 5 houses. Two obvious tear downs that are probably not even habitable, two at 1,499,000, which is way above the 1.1M list of the house in the OP, and a 1.25 that recently came down from 1.5. So no surprise the house in the OP was snatched up.

Just out of curiosity I searched "Langley" and if you want that high school there is nothing under 1.5M except one townhouse.

Again, my searching skills aren't perfect, so if anyone wants to check my work, please do.

Because they didn't need one.

There are a couple of single-family houses around $1.1 million zoned for Langley on the market but they are in Great Falls, not McLean.

It's a very desirable area. Good Fairfax County schools and walking distance to Falls Church City.
