Swimwear brands outside of Summersalt!!

I see that one shoulder one from OP's pick all the time and think it's really matronly looking. I get people like that it sucks you in, but the neckline is not very flattering for a bathing suit and the leg openings tend to cut you off and make your legs look shorter.

It's hard now to try on suits in a store because a lot of the better brands have really limited availability in store, at least in DC. I do try to go suit shopping when I'm in a city like Miami or San Diego, as there tends to be more and better options for in person shopping.

Has anyone tried the suits from Boden? Some of them are cute and I like that they are bright and colorful -- a lot of swimsuit brands aimed at middle aged women are really plain and kind of dreary. But I usually buy from brands that specialize in swimwear or at least in workout clothes. A long time ago JCrew used to do a good job with swimsuits but now they are crap and I don't trust clothing brands with swim as much.

With regards to the leg openings, it’s so hard because a lot of people want fuller butt coverage (it’s me, I want fuller butt coverage). Everything seems so cheeky these days. I looked at Boden’s swim section and was surprised at how the swim bottoms in the two pieces didn’t cover as much as I would have expected from a brand that skews somewhat older and pricier.

This is why I like Andie. The suits are cut with a higher leg opening in front but more butt coverage in back. It's more flattering than these suits that cut straight across your upper thigh.
