Handling negotiation during divorce

Thank you all for your input! I had a consult and an initial visit with my attorney to discuss the strategy. I believe i will see what kind of negotiation they want to put forward-we have a bunch of stuff to divide according to them.

Could you get a greater than 50% division of the assets instead alimony? My friend got a settlement like this. Her husband makes 3x her income and she took 65% of the assets and did not seek alimony. A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Was it in MD? Did she litigate?
