Yes!

I love this car, but I agree with a PP that this is probably more for the OP, not her DH.

Not bald or overweight. He is obsessive about fitness, running, and golf

Range Rover or Porsche then. Maybe m5.

It’s fine, OP. Own the midlife crisis. We all through it.

So awful. I'm embarrassed.
But hey, you only live once so he should enjoy it. He may sell it after a while too.

Get a Porsche and not an entry level one.

100% screams midlife crisis.

My uncle got the same LOL

At his age, he would be better off with a high end SUV. Rivian. Maybe the Defender, Range Rover. The new Lexus GX550.

Or if he wants a sports car, then the Porsche Cayenne or a lot of guys like the Macan.

So no man in their 40s and 50s can buy a sports car without being labeled a midlife crisis schmuck? Or just this specific sports car?

Correct.
But why do you care what people think? I'm 50 and I will buy and drive any car I want. If we are all thinking "MIDLIFE CRISIS" when you drive by. so what?

Tell him to get something like a BMW M5 competition or Audi RS5

Lol, agree it’s mid-life crisis purchase, but if you guys can afford it, let him enjoy it.

A midlife crisis isn't a flex, neither is the car. It's considered a weakness. Of course, you can just want the car and so be it. Let people think what they will. It's just being aware.

It’s an ugly car.

Seems like in this day and age there are better sports cars to get than a Corvette.

Corvettes are pure Americana. This forum must be full of status obsessed strivers and caste conscious foreigners for a new $80,000-200,000 American sports car to be ridicule-worthy.

It’s a car. If he likes it then who cares what a bunch of screeching hens on the internet think?

Seems like it's only a crisis to OP's self-perception.
