yea VA Rev is better positioned. but they will not be able to compete. Kids just aren't coming out there. NVA is having there struggles. Add a 2nd team will only make both worse.

What kinds of struggle is NVA having? They seem to be doing well given this is their first year in mls next hg.
go look at there performance ..1 good age group thats it. The boys they want leave for real academies. So they get backfilled with last minute cut players

Not a problem. NVA gets cut players is akin to Revolution existing. A club that absorbs leftovers willing to pay as if they were something of value LoL

Loudoun International FC is bringing MLS Next tier 1 to the community. It will be the 24th club owned directly by the league and provide no fee competition for the top players.

Wow, you have incredible insight into all the NVA teams and players. You must be real smart and hooked up with all the right people to make this observation. I’m impressed
hit a nerve..lol.. which subpar team is your DC apart of?

Some clubs “only” have MLS Next AD. MLS Next HG is supposed to be the next step for a player with a club that also has AD.

Does it make sense to join a club that only has AD and not both. Just curious.

VA Rev is not even in the discussion for ever getting HG. MLS Next plan is to add more AD clubs that will continue feeding up to the existing MD and VA HG clubs. They are intentionally trying to avoid over saturation in specific markets.

VA Rev told us they applied for HG this year and are awaiting approval

Just because they applied doesn’t mean they’re going to get it.

All clubs applying for MLS NEXT HG and/or AD for the 26–27 season have already been notified. Coppermine has informed its members by email. No public announcements from awarded clubs are permitted until after MLSN makes the official announcement through social media. MLSN will release the news via its website and coordinated social posts with the clubs, just as they have done the past two years.

And to confirm, VA Revolution did not receive and will not be receiving an HG charter. They will continue applying each year, but MLSN has been clear that they do not intend to place a second HG club in their market. This isn’t speculation or guesswork - it’s based on direct information.

People can debate the merits of HG status on message boards as much as they’d like, but don’t want members holding onto false hope year after year.

So the top VRSC boys need to head for NVA then?

The top VRSC boys were rejected by Loudoun's top team, which means they won't get a sniff of NVA. Get real, not a damn player in Rev is good enough for MLS Next, that is why they are where they are at.

Is this for the 27/28 season because the current Loudoun website says MLSNext AD.

It’ll be on social media.

If Loudoun has MLS Next HD but is holding it back for some grand announcement while their would be customers are currently making decisions about club destinations that include whether they offer HD, AD, or both, wow. That would be some of that old school stupidity. Maybe they do need to more closely study the impacts of all those data centers out yonder.
