This is an old fashioned expression. When something is "on the fritz" - this means something is not working/there is trouble. I would not use this expression to describe a relationship. I would use it as: my television is on the fritz.

I've been on DCUM since 2002. There have been times when JSteele has dismissed posters for criticizing certain kid entertainers and for not holding his party line in the DC pages. Grow up. I meant what I meant.
