It is 4 degrees outside shut the hell up. There is something seriously wrong with you. Stop your blathering it’s easy you morons 4 degrees outside at 7 am That ice isn’t melting you failed first grade science! |
So you want librarians to put their life at risk for this even though it's supposedly unsafe for school staff to commute? Wierd. |
Looks like the CO staff are still drunk from their party last night. |
Even then, it doesn't explain why they aren't expected to telework. |
+1 |
Funny how they don't care about lawsuits when it comes to protecting children and staff from sexual predators |
I don't get it- why does it matter that it was 4 degrees? What do you think happens? |
| Here's the thing, I think many central office staff are working - I see the school system is distributing meals, I've received some reminder emails and the "things to know" email, Dr. Thomas made his silly videos, I've heard from neighbors who received email replies to questions about magnets -- all of these things happen b/c of people who work in central office. So, just like many of you, even if the building is closed, the work goes on and it seems at least some of the central office staff are professionals and getting things done. |
I am glad CO staff are doing their jobs even though they technically do not have to work this week for an unknown reason. This also applies to school-based staff fyi - I myself received an email from a school staff member this week. But they should really open offices with liberal leave anytime there is not a county general emergency (that was only Sunday and Monday). |
Why should 4 degree weather or ice be a reason not to require central office staff to telework this week? (Honestly, it shouldn't keep you from showing up in person these last few days either, but certainly not telework.) I know you like being paid to do nothing, but this is just ridiculous. |
Agree. There's plenty of central office staff who are working. Undoubtedly there are plenty who are not. Or not working as much. Central office should probably be open but I don't believe - just by what I see with my own eyes - that because central office is closed nobody is working. |
How many libraries are there in the county? Now do how many schools. |
Serious question: Were you born stupid or dropped on your head as a baby? |
I appreciate that some of them are working, but still cannot understand why this isn't a mandatory teleworking situation (or is it? I think the taxpayers deserve to know). I'm a federal worker and I've been working from home since Monday (with the only other option being to take my own personal leave). |
+1. Yes, some CO staff are working. But they're not required to, even if their job can be done via telework. That's a very bad look. |
