Dp, it can be true that the boy should have been punished through the proper channels if he committed an assault or other sex crime, and that she should be disciplined for assaulting him. I don’t get the argument that she should be allowed to do whatever she wanted regardless of rules.

Part of the generation the keeps waiting for someone else to save them. Look around and tell me how your pacifist refusal to live your life with any agency is working out.

Idk, I’m alive and living my best life, and the entitled athlete committed suicide when she was wasn’t given special treatment for her bad behavior.

It's too bad she felt like she could not confide in her parents or someone else about her mental health issues.
She also took it in her own hands to get involved in an SA case instead of going through proper channels.

Terrible things (much worse than being removed from a sports team) happen every day to people who don’t commit suicide. We do have a crisis of young people with no coping skills. The lesson here is that these skills have to be instilled in children.

Society had taught her she was above the rules because she was a great athlete and she crumbled when the rules were applied to her behavior.

Really?? He was accused and being investigated when she assaulted him (the story posted did not include the results of his investigation). Then she was being investigated for assault. Am I missing some facts?

Nothing happened to him. Since she died there was no case. He graduated and is just fine.

She would not have a role in his case, as the alleged victim was a still living classmate. They must have found him not guilty.

Katie wasn’t the person assaulted. Her death is irrelevant to him being convicted of a crime or the school punishing him.
