I’m proud of you op!!!

I’m proud because I feel like I’m
navigating parenting teens WAY better than I navigated parenting babies/toddlers. I keep my cool during their arguments, and I’m always open to hugs and/or connection when they are in a better mood.

We give them a lot of independence, but the things that are important to our family we are good at having consistent boundaries.

Eh—don’t sweat it too much. My dad left us after having an affair and it didn’t scar me for life. It sounds like you’re an amazing parent, they won’t feel victimized if you don’t paint the picture that way.

It’s part of many beliefs. It’s hard, but it also could be a gift to them. Aren’t you also proud of them for being successful through this.

When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times by Pema Chödrön is a popular Buddhist book that teaches how to use pain, fear, and anxiety as opportunities for growth, rather than running from them. Drawing from traditional Buddhist wisdom, Chödrön offers practical advice on how to lean into difficult situations.

There are lots of teachings that have this tenet. It’s hard to see in the midst of it.

Ah- hit enter on accident. But I asked a large provider in my industry to give me a referral code. Then once a week I search facebook for the service. Let's say its dog walking. So I search "dog walking" then will comment on a few recent posts for 5 mins and say I have a code for 5 free hours of dog walking, reach out if anyone wants it. I get about 5-10 messages a week, send them my code in a one sentence message and I've been getting around $3k/m from that.
