+1 How hard can this be? Just look nice.

Op here. Is this “casual elegant”? Going thru my closet for what isn’t office dress but what I own already:
I have a skirt and top in gray like this:
I have a top like this and black pants:
|
Of the two outfits, I’d go with the second one. |
+1 If you go with the first, wear nice shoes (not the sneakers shown). Second outfit is good. You’ll see a whole range of styles. Just look nice. |
Are you the poster who also rejected the tuckernuck wine colored dress? You are picky! I like all 3 options - the TN dress, and these 2 Bloomingdales ones (I prefer the second Bloomie option but both could work very well). |
I agree. The second top is nice. The first one is sloppy |
| Both of those outfits are hideous. Find some new inspo. |
Tuckernuck is maga. That store is done. Don’t dress like that, you’ll be mocked. |
Go away. You sound stupid. |
Tuckernuck has a real talent for taking a basic pretty good dress and just ruining it with some extra “flair.” Why are those sleeves so big? Makes the whole dress look dumb. I’m not crazy about the tailoring and the collar also looks like it might be too big a. In no way does this look casual elegant. |
Ok. Isn't it great that we can all have different opinions? |
| Most Tuckernuck pieces are so…specific looking I think of them as “trendy” for a specific crowd. Sort of like Lily Pulitzer but a slightly different crowd. People like them ok but really they wear them to fit in. If you think they are beautiful go for it, we all have free choice! |
| I would wear high rise midi pencil skirt with silk blouse or sweater with nice jewelry and pumps. |
I completely agree with you!! There is something about all of the Tuckernuck label clothes that are infantalizing and inelegant. Maybe because they seem committed to putting an extra flounce or poof on absolutely everything. |
