Greenwich is in New York, it just happens to have a Connecticut zip code.

NY rejects it. I guess it's its own annoying little place.

You must have not gone to the right schools. There are tons of GA, GCD and Wick kids who go or have gone to Trinity.

More geographically broadly, there are plenty from St. Paul's, Groton and Middlesex as well.

Not highly regarded.

For cultural context, Trinity was featured in the Preppy Handbook:

Have been there exactly once and it was a weird drive in, one side of the blvd outside the college walls was burned out townhouses.

I thought I heard from someone while inside the college walls at a tailgate that their relative was buying up real estate there left and right but that was like 10 years ago. That same guy was also telling me that Hillary Clinton owned the whole world’s supply of Uranium, though, and how suspicious was that - ??

OH, and same guy (a dad from the team we were on, it was an away game) was also bragging about how he’d paid $50 to any football player (or their friends) who voted for Trump and was handing out $50 bills to a whole lot of college students. He said “thousands of dollars” … don’t know what was true. He was kind of drunk and dispensing beer out of a half keg in the bag of his enormous SUV into solo cups.

I hope they took his money and voted however they wanted to, but reality says most kids were really not registered to vote in that state anyway.

My son says he and his friends just took the money.

Also terrible neighborhood and school makes no meaningful or effective effort at town and gown.

School has a long history of elitism and mediocrity. Would not send a dog there.

Not true. Neither is the mediocrity part, although it's not as good as it once was.

Conservative preppy bro version of Connecticut college. Less safe area. Same perfectly fine academics

This is like asking how a place in NoVa or MoCo could be bad.

CT is, or at least was recently, the most segregated state in the country. The poors are kept very separate from the very rich.

One of the cities listed is in Fairfield county? Which is very affluent.

It’s actually decently ranked and everyone I know from there liked it.

Trinity College (Hartford, CT) was ranked #42 nationally in LinkedIn's inaugural 2025 "Top 50 Colleges" list, which focuses on long-term career success.
Key details regarding this ranking:
Best Liberal Arts College Rank: #4.
NESCAC Ranking: #1 among its New England Small College Athletic Conference peers.
Focus Metrics: The ranking prioritized alumni outcomes, including job placement rates, career advancement, and professional network strength.

It’s higher ranked than it used to be

Uh that story is sus. There aren’t enough football players or kids to be handing out thousands of dollars

Yes it’s a top 50 school but some of the idiots here think that means it’s ‘bad’

That’s like being from NYC and never having heard of Barnard. Says a lot about you and your lack of knowledge of where wealthy people send their kids.
