How could a place in Connecticut be “bad”? Isn’t it a rich and highly educated state?

Same with Yale. New Haven isn't a utopia.

But I guess it's....Yale. Makes the area tolerable?

This site placed two Connecticut cities among the top 10 most dangerous in the U.S., although violent crime represented only one of three components:

This is like asking how a place in NoVa or MoCo could be bad.

CT is, or at least was recently, the most segregated state in the country. The poors are kept very separate from the very rich.

Seen much better days.

"Better" than the vast majority of schools in America, if there is such a thing. But not good enough for all of the tactless know-it-alls here whose children's poop doesn't stink.

Tucker Carlson.
Kelly Bensimon.
Also terrible neighborhood and school makes no meaningful or effective effort at town and gown.

School has a long history of elitism and mediocrity. Would not send a dog there.

I’m from the Detroit area & the neighborhood was a deal breaker.

The campus is really beautiful. A few steps outside the campus, yikes.

One of my siblings went to Trinity a million years ago. Had an amazing time and all their friends are very successful - doctors, lawyers, finance types, scientists, as well as the odd playwright.

Sibling went there many years ago - same as above noting great experience and all the good friends made have done very well. Sibling got into HYP grad programs & did PhD at a top 5 in their STEM field.

Trinity was referred to as a "Wall Street Pipeline" in this Bloomberg article:

Greenwich is in New York, it just happens to have a Connecticut zip code.

You must have not gone to the right schools. There are tons of GA, GCD and Wick kids who go or have gone to Trinity.
