FYI the arch will be Memorial Circle, a traffic roundabout at the Virginia end of the Arlington Memorial Bridge, tying up traffic in the worst possible way for its entire construction.

How on earth will the quarter quell work? 1 athlete (1 male, 1 female) from each state. In what sport? Are they just supposed to be "athletic?" Won't it be embarassing when the tiny states with 800,000 people get clobbered by the big ones with 41 mn people who have a lot more young people to choose from?
