Here's a summary of what Trump is proposing in the video to celebrate America's 250th bday:
*Illumination of the Washington Monument with festive birthday lights (New Year's Eve 2025 through early January 2026). *Major national prayer event on the National Mall (spring 2026). *UFC fight event at the White House on Flag Day (June 14, 2026). *Great American State Fair on the National Mall, with pavilions from all 50 states (June 25–July 10, 2026). *Largest fireworks display in the world (around July 4, 2026). *Patriot Games (fall 2026): a four-day athletic competition featuring top high school athletes (one young man and one young woman per state/territory). *Construction of a grand triumphal arch (inspired by the Arc de Triomphe), with work starting in the very near future. *Construction of the National Garden of American Heroes, featuring statues of the all-time greatest Americans. |
May the odds be ever in your favor! |

This ambitious menu of activities and construction of landmarks will be funded thus:
--Through a public-private partnership model via Freedom 250, a new nonpartisan organization launched on December 18 which will collaborate with states, businesses, corporations, organizations, and federal agencies to raise funds. --The National Garden of American Heroes will primarily be federally funded with $40 million from the One Big Beautiful Bill to the Department of the Interior, plus additional grants (e.g., up to $34 million jointly from the National Endowment for the Humanities and National Endowment for the Arts) for statue creation. --The triumphal arch appears to be privately funded, reportedly using contributions from supporters and potential leftovers from other donor-funded projects (e.g., a White House ballroom addition). So basically they'll be using 1) taxpayer money and 2) private donations from corporations and individuals (provides even more opportunities for the wealthy to suck up to Trump in the hopes of getting favorable consideration for themselves or their companies). |
| Are the statues still being done by Chinese artists? |
| Anybody else remember the Young Pioneers in the USSR? I visited and watched a Young Pioneers athletic competition. So nuts that we’re now emulating the USSR… |

Is this real or AI slop?
A UFC fight at the WH? Is this reality? |
| Trashiest person ever. |
| Will this event have squeaky old Army tanks? |
It's real. It's not new. Trump has been talking about it for a while. https://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/46510783/donald-trump-says-white-house-ufc-event-held-june-14 |
If Trump picks the people for that National Garden, we'll have to rename it the National Garden of American A-holes. Only the worst people! |
|
So the U.S. state fair sounds fine but did nanylmr else pick up on the fact that this is just the Smithsonian folklore festival which has happened forever on the national mall? The only difference is that it’s gojng to focus on all 59 states instead of a few different cultures.
I’m also wondering where the arc is going to go. The mall is pretty crowded already. Should we just put it in the middle of Logan circle? |
|
Shouldn’t use hs students. Should use Olympic trial athletes from each state. Adults.
No underage. Or hasn’t Trump learned? |
| Can he go one day without talking about transgender people? |
I don’t really care about the arch, because the next President can just demolish it in a day, and ban Federal contracting to any company that donated money to the thing. |

Notice how he tightly covered his injection hand for the whole speech.
